Project 365: Sequence/Storyboard

When I first saw the theme for this week, I initially thought it would be a good week to take a break.  But I'm too compulsive to do that, so I tried to just get busy shooting.  Some people mentioned at the beginning of the week that they were going to take one picture a day that would result in one complete storyboard at the end of the week.  However, that actually seemed more difficult than just doing a storyboard each day.  So here are my attempts.  It was definitely fun and I learned a lot about the Print Module in Lightroom 3 and how to customize and create my own templates.  By the end of the week I started getting lazy and put my efforts towards editing and creating templates using archived shots, but at least I was still learning something new every day.  (Only the last 3 days used archived shots.)  It turned out to be a really fun week.

Project 365: A Week In Our Lives

This was a more challenging week than I expected.  It was hard not to take pictures that just looked like snapshots, but that captured what our week was like.  I definitely took many more pictures this week than I normally do, trying to get shots that I liked.

Sunday: We went to church.

Monday: We made our weekly trip to the library.

Tuesday: I did lots of laundry.

Wednesday: Our DVD player quit working, so this is how Molly and Lexie watched their show.

Thursday: Molly decided to play "photographer" with Lexie, so she had Lexie stand in front of her "backdrop" to take her picture.  I love how Molly even closed one eye, like I do to look through my camera viewfinder!  She's taking pictures with her pretend cell phone.  I'm not sure how she learned that since my cell phone doesn't even take pictures!

Friday: I usually sort through all of Annie's medications on Friday to make sure everything is stocked for our nurse to come in the evenings.

Saturday: Even Snow White has a few time-outs each week!

I'm a Copy Cat Challenge Winner!

I've been participating in a weekly Copy Cat challenge online as a member of ILovePhotography.com where another photographer posts a picture that we are supposed to copy.  We're supposed to take note of lighting, framing, composition, and all other photographic aspects of the picture to try to replicate the image ourselves as closely as possible.  At the end of the week a winner is announced and I was thrilled to find out today that my picture won!  I unfortunately can't post the image I was trying to duplicate because of copyrights, but here is my image.  What a fun challenge!  I look forward to these every week!

Project 365: Texture

Texture was a fun theme this week--a little challenging at the beginning, but definitely fun.  This was another one of those weeks where I wish I had a nice macro lens. I took more pictures on the theme this week than I normally do, but here are my favorites I chose for the forum.
